From farm to coffee cup – the story of the syoum family
The Syoum Family’s farm, located in Tefari Kela, Sidama, is more than 80 years old. Since 2019, Dawit and Hester have reinvigorated the farm with modern varieties and regenerative agro-forests, supported by the expertise of the Jimma Agricultural Research Center.
Sidama itself boasts a long history of coffee cultivation, with nearly 80% of the population relying on coffee as a primary economic activity. This region’s fertile lands and distinct conditions are reflected in the exceptional quality of Sidamo washed coffees.

Ethiopian coffees are renowned for their delicate floral aromas, and the Syoum Family’s heirloom coffee is no exception.

- Roasting details: Roasted for 9,5 minutes to 200°C with a development time of 45 seconds.
